Small Business Gift Guide 2023
From prints to pins and all kinds of fun things in between, this list of gifts from small businesses has something for everyone. I hope you find some new favorite businesses to follow because these are all my absolute favorites and are run by some of the kindest, coolest people.
Make sure to shop early to give small businesses plenty of time to process and ship your order if you’re shopping during peak times (like the holidays). Don’t forget to be extra nice and patient with them – many small businesses are run by one person and they have to juggle a lot.
Happy shopping! :)

Prints & stickers

For the cutest prints of little painted ladies, Liana Hee is your person! I love her mini mermies, but fell in love with her Halloween collection in 2020 and bought a print of Tiki Zombie.
The print looks like an original because it is such high-quality. I love every one of her beautiful ladies!

I love anything with cats, and Terry Runyan gets the award for some of my favorite cat art! He sells original artworks, as well as prints, throw pillows, tote bags, and more with his lovely designs.
He has a unique, whimsical style that brings so much character to the kitties he creates!

Maggie creates some of the most beautiful illustrations I have ever seen. I love her use of large, organic shapes and think they would look so great in a styled living room or bedroom.
You can shop all prints of her work on Society6 or shop a few exclusive prints on Jungalow.

Katie’s stories are one of my favorites to watch! Her impasto flower paintings are gorgeous and the prints look 3D!
She also has such cute stickers and a whole line of other products, like keychains, magnets, and bookmarks. Her Christmas/Holiday prints are adorable too!

@adamjk
I love Adam’s brutally honest—and funny—art, like his “Still Alive” ribbon award pin. His planners are simple, and endearing, with unsolicited advice throughout.
Adam’s wonderful personality pours right into his products/art. In his shop, you’ll find pins, stickers, keychains, prints, novelty items, and lots more.

There are so many washi tape designs to choose from at Nutmeg and Arlo! You can also shop for stickers, pins, prints, cards, socks, and phone cases, but the washi is my favorite (and many others’ favorite too!).

If you know someone who loves cats and skeletons as much as I do, get them a print from Tiina! While most of her prints are skeletons with black cats, there are some with other colored kitties and some without cats altogether.
Skeletons and flowers, a skeleton with a steaming cup of coffee/tea, and more! They’re beautiful prints for a great price.

Daren Magee creates absolutely beautiful digital illustrations. He sells prints; pre-made logos that you can buy the rights to; and has clothing, blankets, hats, and more available with his designs.
He’s one of my favorites and I just love his matter-of-factness and dry sense of humor.

I don’t think I’ve ever felt like an Instagram account was made for me as much as Nia Gould’s. They illustrate famous artworks and artists from history, but with cats!
I’ve bought a calendar every year since 2020 and use it all year long. They sell out early, so make sure you don’t miss them! Niaski also creates enamel pins and tote bags with art cats. It is the best thing ever!

Amanda’s hand-drawn illustrations depict very relatable, everyday life scenes. You can only shop her prints once a week – every Monday – and then she closes the shop for the rest of the week.
You can typically request which prints she will make available each Sunday or Monday on her stories!

I love Steffi’s style and she has a huge variety of products! Her murals bring me so much joy, but of course, you can’t gift those.
Check out her beautiful postcards, happy and colorful nail wraps, glass coffee mugs, phone cases, hair clips, Airpod cases, and more!
Ceramics

@freckledpottery
I’ve followed Freckled pottery for years and always loved their mugs, tumblers, and planters with happy pastel colors and freckled (speckled) white glaze.
They create small batches, as do most small pottery businesses, and sell out quickly. Be sure to sign up for their newsletter to get info about restocks!

Callahan creates earthy-colored mugs and dinnerware that would look perfect on A-Frame open shelving, in a cute travel van, or by the fire at a campsite (it gives off those rugged vibes!).
These ceramics sell fast, so check their Instagram for shop restock announcements and be ready to checkout quickly!

Rose Grown makes the most perfect boobie mugs and planters (Goddessware). They have a wide variety of boob shapes, sizes, colors, and skin types. They even have jewelry and magnets!
They’ve been able to increase production and while the Goddessware used to sell out in minutes, it’s now a bit more readily available, but email subscribers get first dibs.

Their Tata mug restocks are rare, but you can sign up for their newsletter to get updates about shop updates!
Keep an eye out for the next restock on their Etsy shop (announcements are in their newsletter).

@stevenrhodesart
Steve’s line of Activities for Children shirts are just the best. I have “Let’s Summon Demons” and “See Ya Later, Assholes” shirts.
If swearing and demons offend you, steer clear of this shop. If you (or someone on your gift list) like a bit of dark humor and vintage-style illustrations, I’ve found the shop for you!

If someone on your gift list loves animals, get them a tote and or shirt from Richer for Wandering! I love all the sweet animal illustrations they offer. I have a tote with a platypus on it and it’s my favorite tote bag!
Home & decor

@theburlapbag
These are the only candles you will ever want or need! Lauren makes the best candles out there and I don’t know what her secret is, but I do know I can’t stop buying candles from The Burlap Bag.
I recommend them to literally everyone I know because they are just that good! They burn evenly, smell unbelievable (HOW does Plant Person smell exactly like a real tomato plant?!), and Lauren is one of the kindest people.
Buy everyone you know a candle from them, they make the perfect gifts!
My personal favorites: Books & Baking, Pumpkin Party, You’re a Wizard, Gimme Coffee, Cuddles, and Tacky Christmas Sweater.
@collingarrity
Collin hand-makes wWooden home decor, kitchen tools, and wooden ornaments. For the chef on your gift list, an herb stripper or honey dipper would be a unique and thoughtful gift.

Magical cat embroideries. Seriously, that’s Katie’s bio! I only just discovered her truly magical embroidery hoops, hand-sewn with realistic adorable cats. You can order custom embroideries of your cats (or get them for friends/family!) which is just the coolest.
Pins & Things

@hemleva
Samantha is one of my favorite people on Instagram. Not only does she design the most beautiful plant-inspired pins and keychains I’ve ever seen, she also has a vast knowledge of plants and plant care that she shares with her followers.
My collection of Hemleva pins and keychains continues to grow and every one is just stunning. She also sells suncatchers that you can stick on your window and steam rainbows into your room – I have multiple in my windows!

Abbie has a storefront in Las Vegas, NV with all kinds of cute and adorable items! I originally followed her because I loved the My Favorite Murder enamel pins she designed, but stayed for all the other fun things she offers. From stickers to wrapping paper to weekly planners to art prints, she has it all!
