Travel FAQs

  • Greece! Easily. Every visit I have been in awe of how beautiful it is, how kind the people are, and how incredible the food is!

Corfu has been my favorite destination to date and I hope to go back many more times in my life.

  • There are SO many! Some of the top destinations for me are Egypt, South Africa, Australia (again, but all over the country!), Zanzibar, Iceland, Portugal, Italy, and about a dozen more!

  • Yes! I have both the Capital One Venture and Capital One Venture X credit cards. I use them for everything and pay them off each month to maximize the number of miles I get.

I’ve saved hundreds on travel —if not thousands—with the miles I’ve earned on these cards.

You really only need one of them. I got the Venture card before the Venture X card came out. Venture X has better opportunities to earn more miles but requires a higher credit score.

Painting FAQs

  • In January 2023, I announced that I would no longer paint on jeans/denim. I had been losing passion for it for awhile and in November/December 2023, decided to completely quit since it no longer brought me joy.

My true passion is for travel writing and photography, which has always been the other half of my business.

Painting one pair took between 10 and 30 hours, and it was no longer worth the time it took to sell them for the prices I did. It also took away a lot of time from continuing to pursue travel writing and photography.

I feel really happy about my decision, but a bit scared since so many people followed me, interviewed me for articles, and partnered with me solely for my painted denim.

Hopefully the travel side of my business can also receive the same amount or more of that support eventually.

  • I use acrylic paint mixed with fabric medium. For more detailed information about all the supplies I use, read my Denim Painting 101: Paint and Supplies post!

  • Yes! All my painted jeans are machine-washable on the delicate cycle, turned inside-out or hand-washable turned inside-out in cold or warm water with a mild detergent.

Read my post Denim Painting 101: How to Wash Painted Denim for all the details!

  • All the jeans I painted were sourced from local thrift stores and online secondhand sellers.

  • Thank you for your interest! As of January 2023, I no longer paint on jeans, nor do I take custom orders.
