San Francisco is often the star city of the Bay Area. It has tons of attractions, like the famous Golden Gate Bridge. It also has a wide variety of restaurants, activities, and museums.

The North Bay consists of four counties: Marin, Sonoma, Napa, and Solano. It has upscale towns, vineyards with gorgeous wineries, rolling hills, and nice hotels.

The East Bay is where I grew up! It has tons of hiking trails, a great winery and brewery scene, and includes Berkeley, Oakland, and the Tri-Valley.

The South Bay contains Silicon Valley, which is the home of Facebook/Meta, Netflix, Apple, eBay, and many other tech companies. It also includes the large city of San Jose.

The Peninsula is the gorgeous coastal strip of land west of the South Bay. It’s where my first home of Half Moon Bay is, along with San Mateo, Woodside, and Menlo Park.
